......Figurativo come linguaggio pittorico, Walter Faraoni ha però un modo tutto personale per rappresentare la realtà. La sua non è una pura e semplice descrizione di paesaggi, di fiori o di nature morte, il che potrebbe dimostrare la perizia tecnica dell'autore, non la sua partecipazione emotiva. Invece Faraoni ha raggiunto con un lungo e paziente lavoro di autodidatta, un'espressività cosi ricca di emozioni e nel contempo cosi ben costruita pittoricamente da lasciare nel visitatore assai più di una semplice traccia. L'artista combina le immagini come tessere di un mosaico per cui l'opera può essere interpretata da vari punti di visti. Inoltre la raffinatezza estetica dei "tagli" che ora "limitano", ora "esasperano" le figure, assieme alle prsta estetica del "quadro nel quadro", produce un coinvolgimento emotivo fra autore e visitatore di non scarso rilievo....

Au contraire, grâce à un long et patient travail d'autodidacte, Faraoni a atteint une expressivité riche d'emotions et en même temps à tel point bien construite du point de vue..., qu'elle laisse au visiteur plus qu'une simple trace.

L'artiste combine les images comme de petits morceaux de mosaique; l'oeuvre peut par conséquent être interprétée de diverses manières. Par ailleurs, la raffinement esthétique des "coupes" qui parfois "limitent", et parfois "exaspèrent" les figures, ainsi que la proposition esthéthique du "tableau à l'intérieur du tableau", créent une émotion remarquable entre le peintre et le visiteur....

...Trotz der Gegenstandsnähe seiner malerischen Sprache hat Walter Faraoni eine ganz persönliche Art, die Wirklichkeit darzustellen. Sein Stil ist keine reine und einfache Beschreibung von Landschaft, Pflanze oder Stilleben, was ja wohl die technische Erfahrung des Malers zeigen kann, aber weniger seine innere Teilnahme.

Faraoni hat jedoch in einer langen und geduldigen Arbeit als Autodidakt eine außerordentliche Ausdruckskraft gesammelt, reich an Gefühl und gleichzeitig ebenso gut malerisch gestartet, so daß er im Betrachter auf jeden Fall mehr hinterläßt als eine einfache Spur. Der Künstler kombiniert die Bilder wie die Teile eines Mosaiks; so kann sein Werk von mehreren Blickpunkten her gesehen werden. Zusätzlich schafft die ästhetische Geschicklichkeit der "Schnitte", die einmal die Figur begrenzen, ein anderes Mal verdichten, zusammen mit dem Stilmittel des "Bild im Bild" einen nicht unerheblichen Bezug zwischen Künstler und Betrachter....
